History

apt Hiller GmbH was formed in 1972 as Hiller + Maldaner GmbH. Since then, annual production has grown from 1500 tonnes to 50,000 tonnes. In 1995 a new anodising company was established and there was further expansion in 2003 with the takeover of Oehme Metallbearbeitung GmbH & Co. KG based in Eckental, Bavaria, which now goes under the name of apt Oehme GmbH. On 1 April 2004 the apt Hiller Group expanded yet further with the acquisition of Alcoa Roermond Extrusions in the Netherlands , which is now called apt Kurvers B.V.

This growth has turned the apt Hiller Group from what was once a medium sized extrusion plant into a leading supplier of a broad range of products and services relating to aluminium semis.

The Group currently comprises four companies in Germany, the Netherlands and Czechia.
